The factory sunroof on my 1979 VW Transporter was in bad shape, with lots of rust on the panel, and broken cables. The cables are extremely expensive to replace, and the top was quite rusted along the edges, and it leaked. So I decided to replace everything with a Legacy Ragtop. I'm so glad I did. It overlaps the factory opening, thus preventing any chance of leaking. It took more time than shown in the videos, because of the extra ribs and bracing on a factory sunroof vehicle, which had to be cut and trimmed to make it fit. But the results were well worth it. The new top now slides open easily and looks great both open and closed. I'm completely satisfied with my choice of a Legacy Ragtop.

The ragtop for the bus I ordered is a quality product. Canvas is heavy, neatly stitched. Frame is solid. The only gripe keeping me from giving 5 stars is the lack of instructions, left to figure out on your own. I know Legacy has phone support and a YouTube vid but not informative enough for a quality first timer install. Pretty straight forward but where are the steel corner pieces supposed to be installed, top of frame, under, or leave out?
-- Greg, The corner irons are used to secure the 4 piece frame together and will go on the underside of your roof skin so as to not be visible. They will sandwich the roof skin between them and the frame. Hope this helps!
